Groszer Wein Pet Nat Rösler

Pet Nat is French and means Petillant (sparkly) and Naturel (natural). Its an almost forgotten archetype of producing sparkling wine. Our Pet Nat Rosé is produced with  the new Austrian Rösler. This grape variety is known to be extraordinary robust. The wine shows a carmine red and yeast blurred colour. The wine adds an intense scent of cassis and raspberries to the nose. On the palate it has a pleasant cool fruity taste with hints of sparkle and a subtle yeast aroma. 

The grapes for the Pet Nat grow on the hills of the Königsberg in a slate soil at an altitude of 350 meters. The wine shows brilliant minerality and a cool freshness

The grapes are harvested, pressed and fermented without adding any artificial yeast. During the fermentation the still slightly sweet fruit must is filled into the wine bottles to continue the fermentation and to blend it together with the sparkle. The leftover yeast stays in the wine bottles. The result is a versatile Pet Nat which serves a lot of fruity aromas and hints of yeast. Our Pet Nat Rosé is produced with the new Austrian Rösler grapevines. This grape variety is known to be extraordinary robust.
