Steep hillsides with a special climate. A segregated idyll - that feels like home in southern Burgenland. With around 500 hectars of vinegrowing area, the wine region of Eisenberg is one of the most original and smallest area of Austria's vineyards. Here at this special location very special wines are made - such as our rare Groszer Wine Blaufränkisch Eisenberg DAC Reserve from the Riegel 2014!
Our winemakers Markus Bach and Edgar Brutler have created an expressive red wine with hand selected dark fruits of the Blaufränkisch grape variety. It impresses with its fine aromas of sour cherries, delicate herbs and ripe blackberries.
A pleasant acid structure blends perfectly together with the existing fruit components. A velvety finish with a spicy aftertaste makes this red wine very special.
This extraordinary wine goes well with braised meat, dishes with mushrooms and steaks.
